Exploring Advanced Additive Manufacturing and Material Innovation
The team visited TCT Asia 2026 in Shanghai to explore the latest advancements in additive manufacturing, innovative materials, and emerging applications, gaining valuable insights for future product development.

On March 17, 2026, the R&D team of Yangzhou Yuyuan New Materials Co., Ltd. visited the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai to attend TCT Asia 2026, one of the most influential additive manufacturing exhibitions in Asia. The visit aimed to explore advanced 3D printing technologies, understand industry trends, and identify new opportunities for material innovation and product development.
The exhibition brought together leading manufacturers of 3D printers, material suppliers, research institutions, and industrial users from around the world. The team explored a wide range of exhibits, including industrial-grade printing systems, high-performance materials, multi-color printing technologies, and smart manufacturing solutions.
A major focus of the visit was advanced printing materials such as PLA, PETG, TPU, nylon, and functional composite materials. The diverse displays of colorful filaments, gradient materials, and specialty printing consumables demonstrated the growing importance of material innovation in additive manufacturing.
The team was also impressed by numerous creative applications of 3D printing, including robotic models, artistic installations, collectible figures, decorative products, and customized consumer goods. These exhibits highlighted the flexibility and design freedom enabled by additive manufacturing technologies.
In addition, sustainable materials attracted significant attention throughout the exhibition. Displays illustrating the complete PLA production chain—from corn and starch to lactic acid, PLA pellets, and composting—demonstrated the industry’s commitment to environmentally friendly manufacturing solutions.
As a company specializing in luminescent and functional materials, Yangzhou Yuyuan New Materials sees strong potential for integrating its technologies with the rapidly growing 3D printing industry. Products such as luminescent powders, luminescent films, and glow-in-the-dark 3D printing filaments could create new opportunities across creative manufacturing, consumer products, safety applications, and decorative markets.
This visit provided valuable insights into the future of additive manufacturing and reinforced the importance of innovation-driven material development. Moving forward, the company will continue strengthening collaborations with industry partners and research institutions, accelerating the development of advanced functional materials and expanding their applications in emerging manufacturing sectors.
